

The invention of the Tool Tub is another example of finding a solution to a problem at hand. 50 employees taking smoking breaks while they were supposed to be working addressed this issue. The pretense was that they were “looking for a tool”. One day the 50 employees showed up for work and each was issued a yellow bucket with all of the tools they should need for their workday. Surprised and somewhat annoyed, they begrudgingly picked up their bucket of tools.
